This is an extract from an email recently received from an Engineer who had asked for some lubricant advice.
Divesh Bhooshun of KZN Sands says….
“It’s disappointing to know that most engineers want to be managers. Out of my graduating class (2005) of 20, there are 5 of us who are in technical. Well, 3 in R&D and 2 including me in maintenance / development. What a waste of years of technical knowledge, but you get two types of engineering graduates, one who does it for money and the other for the love of innovation. I believe if we change our mindset like the Japanese, we will really develop our country and create sustainable future for our kids. I agree with your statement about oil types. People don’t understand tribology and the value engineering it offers.”
